Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) is a one day motorbike rider course designed to give you the basic skills to ride on the public highway with a 50cc moped if you are over 16 or up to a 125cc motorbike if you are over 17. It's the minimum level of training required.
Motorcycle students resident in Newbury, Salisbury, Winchester and Basingstoke regularly choose Andover Rider Training.
The Direct Access Scheme (DAS) is a fully inclusive motorbike rider course aimed at giving you professional tuition to enable you to pass your Module 1 and 2 tests and progress onto riding a bigger motorbike.
Courses start in Andover but the majority of instruction takes place in the relevant test locations of Swindon, Lee On The Solent, Newbury and Farnborough.
Whether you have just passed your motorbike rider test, or have been riding for a while and would like to develop your skills further then advanced motorcycle rider training is a route to consider.
This course will improve your skill and safety, so that you can make the best use of road and traffic conditions - you will gain the skills and ability to control the speed and position of your motorcycle relative to everything and everyone else on the road.
A Hazard and Theory test pass is needed before practical training for any Full Licence can be undertaken.
Book your test directly by telephoning 0300 20011220300 2001122 or online at www.direct.gov.uk.
Practical hints are also available at www.direct.gov.uk or by going to any good bookshop.
