CBT Motorcycle Rider Training

For anyone motorcycling on the public highway, Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) is the minimum level of motorbike rider training legally required to ride a motorcycle unaccompanied on the road, the aim is to provide you with a basic level of skill and competency to ensure you can ride a motorbike safely.

• If you are 16 this is a moped up to 50cc
• If you are 17 and above , this can be a motorbike up to 125cc
• A UK provisional or full licence is required
• L Plates must be shown on your motorbike
• The CBT certificate needs to be renewed every two years or until you pass your full test

What to Wear

• Jeans for leg protection
• Trainers for foot protection
• We provide the rest; helmets, jacket, gloves, motorbike or bring your own!
